Swan Hill

Keeping The Community Informed

Council employs a range of communication initiatives to reach and engage residents across the entire municipality.

Details of the initiatives are outlined in Council's Communication Strategy.

Communication Strategy 2010-2013

As an organisation that is accountable to its community, effective and open communication between Council, its residents and ratepayers and other stakeholders is a priority of Swan Hill Rural City Council and is recognised within Council's strategic document, the Council Plan 2009 – 2013.

Following on from the original Communication Strategy from 2005, the Swan Hill Rural City Council Communication Strategy 2010-2013 includes several new recommendations reflecting the current communication climate, including technology, to further build upon and strengthen our communication activities as a Council.

This reviewed document recognises the communication issues that still face Swan Hill Rural City Council and both ongoing and new initiatives have been set out in this document to continue to address these issues and to further develop and improve the way Council communicates.

For more information, please contact Council's Public Relations and Events Co-ordinator Claire Leunig on 5036 2333.
