Pet talk to local students

Improved communication between Council and the community has been, and remains, a priority of the Swan Hill Rural City Council.

Council's Communication Strategy has been developed to identify the communication priority areas for the next three years.  It includes initiatives trialled and confirmed in recent times, as well as the logical ‘next steps' in improving the communication between Council, the community, and Council staff.

Council uses a number of methods to keep residents in the municipality informed including this website.
A community newsletter that is printed and distributed quartly.
Public notices through the Guardian and on Council's website.
Press releases that are distributed through local, regional and in some cases, national media.
