David Lenton

David is a qualified Accountant who joined the Swan Hill City Council (now Swan Hill Rural City Council) as Finance Manager in December 1992.  Since the amalgamation of the City and Shire of Swan Hill in January 1995, David has held the positions of Financial Controller and Finance and Administration Manager prior to being appointed as Group Manager Corporate Services during 2001.  Under Council's most recent restructure in April 2006, David's position was reclassified as Director Corporate Services.  Prior to joining Local Government David worked in a variety of Finance related positions with a large Multinational Company within the Private Sector for 14 years.

Corporate Services covers the areas of Finance, Information Technology, Rates and Revenue control, head office Reception and Telephony, Records Management, Robinvale Resource Centre, Governance, Human Resources, Procurement policy, advice and support and manages the commercial aspects of Council's Land Acquisition and Disposals including the Tower Hill residential estate development and Caravan Parks.
