David Leahy

The Director Infrastructure is responsible for:

• All physical infrastructure projects and related issues of the organisation, from conception to delivery.
• Management of Council's environmental and natural resource management programs, and strategies for sustainable environmental outcomes.
• Management of Council's infrastructure assets over their life in the most cost effective manner in order to provide a specified level of service, including planning for their creation, purchase, maintenance, replacement and disposal in a strategic manner.
• Maintenance of all Council owned roads, storm water drains, footpaths and other pathways, car parks, laneways and other allied structures.
• The development, implementation and management of long term and annual capital works programs for Council's infrastructure assets.
• Management of the provision of engineering designs, drainage engineering, and emergency management planning services for the municipality.
• The setting of standards, risk management and policy development, and work closely with external bodies to ensure provision of best value, infrastructure services within the municipality.
