Strategic Planning

Council's strategic planning begins with the four year Council Plan 2006-2010, in which the Council articulates its vision for our community.  The broad parameters of this vision are reflected in the mission and values of the Council, and the Key Result Areas (KRA’s) of the Plan.  Each of the four key result areas are supported by five strategies, and by initiatives the Council seeks to complete during this four year period.

The Council Plan determines the priorities and actions for the Budget for each of the next four years, which gives substance to the plan each year.  Finally, at the end of each year, Council’s achievements will be documented in the Annual Report.
