GRADUATE ACCOUNTANT
Swan Hill Rural City is an exciting and growing municipality situated in the heartland of the Murray Valley, boasting one of the most diverse and productive rural areas in Australia. The Rural City provides quality educational, hospital and sporting facilities and services, with major population centres in Swan Hill and Robinvale.
Based in Swan Hill and reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Graduate Accountant will assist with budget preparation, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, fixed asset record keeping, various taxation requirements (BAS,FBT), loan administration, grant acquittals and other related tasks.
An Under Graduate Commerce / Business Degree and excellent spreadsheeting skills are essential requirements for the position combined with high levels of energy and the ability to deal with a wide variety of people in pressure situations.
The position offers a salary of between $41,200 to $46,300 negotiable depending upon the quality of applications received. Other employment benefits include access to superannuation salary sacrifice, extensive carers leave provisions, uniform allowance, annual leave loading at 17.5% and flexible work arrangements.
