VOLUNTEER SUPPORT OFFICER
An exciting new opportunity exists with Swan Hill Rural City Council to develop strategies to support and extend volunteer participation within the community. The position will focus on forming relationships within the local community to identify needs and sustainable solutions to encourage involvement in volunteering and support existing volunteer services.
The role requires an energetic professional with understanding and experience in project management, particularly relating to community engagement. Skills in priority setting, problem resolution and a well developed and effective interpersonal ability are essential to the success of the position. Formal qualifications in the cultural / community services sector, or commensurate experience is also highly desired.
Attracting approximately $30,000 per annum, this is a part time temporary position at 3 days (22.8 hours) per week within Council, funded to December 2009. Hours and days of work are negotiable.
