Reporting to the Community Facilitation Manager, this position within Council is responsible for the implementation of the Food for All initiative, which aims to improve access to and consumption of healthy foods.
Strategies include integrated planning within Council, provision of information, education and advice, overcome accessibility issues, support improved fresh fruit storage and develop small business guidelines to promote the consumption of healthy foods.
Applicants will have relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in the human/community services sector, experience in local government integrated planning and understanding of the factors relating to food security.
Salary: Attracting approximately $50,000 this is a full time temporary position within Council, funded to June 2008.
