MEDIA LIAISON OFFICER
Council seeks the services of a media and marketing specialist to assist with raising our corporate profile through public relations and media liaison.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this key position disseminates ‘newsworthy’ items to the community on Council decisions, services and operations through the development of press releases and community newsletters, building effective relations with the media and photo opportunities.
Applicants will have experience with journalistic form and content, thorough knowledge of print and electronic media, strong public relations and communications skills and be able to undertake high-level computer tasks.
Salary: Attracting approximately $44,000 per annum this is a permanent full time position within Council.
