SWAN HILL RURAL CITY COUNCIL

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT (QUALIFIED OR TRAINEE)

Based in Swan Hill and reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Management Accountant will assist with budget preparation, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, fixed asset record keeping, various taxation requirements (BAS, FBT), loan administration, grant acquittals and other related tasks.

The applicant preferably would have a Commerce / Business Degree and three years work experience however, trainee accountants are also encouraged to apply.  Excellent spread-sheeting skills are essential to the position and training will be provided to the successful applicant.  High levels of energy, the ability to work with a wide variety of people in pressure situations and a commitment to ongoing professional development are required. 

The position offers a salary of between $40,400 to $50,400 negotiable depending upon the quality of applications received.  Other employment benefits include access to superannuation salary sacrifice, uniform allowance, annual leave loading at 17.5% and flexible work arrangements.
