HUMAN RESOURCES ADMINSTRATION ASSISTANT
8 MONTH MATERNITY RELIEF PLACEMENT
An opportunity exists for a proficient administrator to assist with clerical and administration duties within Council’s Human Resource Program. Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, the Assistant will support Council’s human resource and corporate governance functions for Council, including coordination of staff training, database maintenance, minute-taking and Council report research and development.
The incumbent will liaise directly with all levels of Council staff and have involvement in administration associated with recruitment, occupational health and safety, WorkCover, industrial relations and performance management. This is a diverse and exciting role which will expose the incumbent to a variety of Council programs.
Applications are sought from people who have strong communication skills, are competent with software including word, excel and publisher and have the ability to work effectively in a high pressure environment. Time management and planning skills combined with a commitment to customer service and the ability to work in a team environment and take direction are also essential.
Salary: Approximately $37,000 this is a full time maternity relief placement to end February 2009
