EDUCATION OFFICER
The Education Program is an integral service provided to visiting school groups of the Pioneer Settlement that incorporates hands on activities, displays and workshops designed to enhance student’s experience of the Museum.
The Education Officer will deliver Education programs to visiting school groups in accordance with an established curriculum and funding guidelines. The Officer will also coordinate human and other resources and materials for the Education Program and provide advice on curriculum development and implementation.
Applicants require Primary or Secondary teaching qualifications, previous teaching and staff management experience and knowledge of heritage issues combined with the ability to manage time and set own priorities of work Current first aid certificate and satisfactory police and working with children checks are also essential.
Salary: Approximately $33.00 per hour, this is a casual position with hours of work based around an established annual school group booking calendar.
