RURAL ACCESS CO-ORDINATOR
FULL TIME
FUNDED POSITION FOR 3 YEARS
The Rural Access Coordinator will increase the range of opportunities available to people with disabilities in their communities through:
ˇ assistance for individuals and families to improve access to relevant services and supports;
ˇ a more pro-active approach to transitional and life planning;
ˇ enhancing the quality and range of Disability support in local areas;
ˇ the development of a framework for integrated and coordinated planning in local communities.
It is important to note that while the position is employed by the Swan Hill Rural City Council it will also operate within and in conjunction with the Shires of Buloke and Gannawarra for approximately two days per week.
The successful applicant will ideally have relevant tertiary qualification in Social Sciences, Health or related areas such as Disability, Community Development and/or extensive experience in a related Human Services field. An understanding of State Disability Plan 2002 - 2012, general knowledge of the AS 1428 guidelines is also desirable, along with a current Drivers Licence
Salary: Approximately $28.00 per hour, this is a full time position funded for a 3 year period. Ongoing employment is subject to funding.
