PROJECT COORDINATOR (MAJOR PROJECTS)
Applications are invited from suitably experienced project supervisors to provide technical assistance and investigation of Council's major project contracts, Council projects and other general works.
Reporting to the Manager Major Projects and Waste, the ideal applicant will have a contract management background in civil construction and maintenance of at least 5 years. A general understanding of local government and quality assurance systems and procedures and legislative requirements relevant to the position is also essential.
Applicants should be team players with demonstrated contractor management and leadership qualities, substantive organisational and negotiation skills and be able to provide technical advice and guidance in the provision of civil construction projects.
The successful incumbent will be offered outstanding employment benefits including a generous remuneration package up to $61,000, superannuation, flexible working arrangements, annual leave loading, supported study opportunities and a contribution towards relocation expenses.
