WORKS MANAGER
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced works practitioners to fulfil the role of Works Manager at the Swan Hill Rural City Council.
Reporting to the Director Infrastructure, the ideal applicant will have a Civil Engineering background and have substantive experience in a related engineering role with at least 5 years experience in managing a large municipal or similar works function.
You will be a team player with demonstrated management and leadership qualities, substantive skills in managing a large multidisciplinary team and have the ability to provide strategic advice and guidance and development of policies and management strategies in the provision of engineering / infrastructure services.
Proven abilities in the development and preparation of annual works programs together with identification of resource levels, development of financial cost estimates for major maintenance works and associated tender preparation are also prime requisites to be undertaken by the position holder.
