VISITOR INFORMATION SERVICE COORDINATOR
TEMPORARY PLACEMENT AUGUST 2009 TO MARCH 2010
An opening currently exists at the Swan Hill Region Information Centre for a Visitor Information Service Coordinator to manage provision of information services to the visiting public and coordinate reception and administrative duties on behalf of the Marketing and Tourism and Economic Development Unit.
Duties involve operation of the visitor information service and ticket booking office, reception, administration and supervision of visitor information service staff.
Applicants must be team orientated, have well developed public relations, staff supervision, administration and communication skills, be organised with the ability to set own and others work priorities and operate efficiently in a high-pressure environment. A sound knowledge of the local area and tourism product and word processing and spreadsheet competency are essential to the success of the position.
Salary: Attracting approximately $23.00 per hour this is a temporary full time placement from August 2009 until March 2010.
