ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER
TWELVE MONTHS MATERNITY LEAVE POSITION
Swan Hill Rural City Council is situated in the Mallee region in North West Victoria. Ideally located within the economic heartland of southeast Australia, in the heart of the rich Murray River Valley, the region is one of Australia's most diverse and productive rural areas.
Council is seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified professional to ensure the effective and efficient operation of Council's environmental and public health service. Responsibilities include infectious disease control, registered premises and food surveillance and health education and promotion.
Formal qualifications in Environmental Health and highly developed human and physical resource management skills, preferably in a Local Government environment, are essential. However, pre-graduates and graduates are encouraged to apply.
Salary
This is a full time temporary position to November 2010 with salary ranging between $48,000 and $61,000 depending on qualifications and experience
