TEAM LEADER - WORKSHOP
The Team Leader - Workshop is accountable to the Coordinator Fleet & Workshop, for the coordination and operation of the Swan Hill Rural City Council Mechanical Workshop, including welding and metal fabrication services, to ensure the efficient and effective service and repair of Council vehicles, plant and equipment.
The Team Leader will undertake repairs and maintenance to plant, including trucks, motor vehicles, graders and other equipment whilst overseeing the allocation and supervision of daily work tasks for a current team of three staff. The Team Leader will also be required to assist the Coordinator Fleet & Workshop with budget formulation and monitoring as well as the evaluation of new plant and equipment.
Applicants require motor mechanic trade qualifications with particular emphasis on diesel powered plant and equipment used in construction, earth moving, agriculture and parks maintenance, combined with experience in team supervision, computer knowledge and an understanding of occupational health and safety requirements within a Workshop environment.
Salary: Attracting between $53,600 and $60,900 per annum plus additional payments for overtime and allowances. Salary packaging options are available with other employment benefits including access to superannuation salary sacrifice, uniform allowance, higher duties payments, annual leave loading, access to additional leave, provision of all tools and protective clothing and annual salary increases are available.
