Community members are invited to come along to the Swan Hill Regional Library this Monday and discover the story of local Archana Patney, as part of the Living Books event for the Go North Arts Festival.
Go North committee member and Council's Manager Cultural Development and Libraries Camille Cullinan said Living Books enabled local identities to tell their life stories in an interactive setting with audience members.
“The Living Books concept is based on a European model and acknowledges that every life is a story, and Archana's story, of her move to Australia from India and to our region to teach, is an opportunity that shouldn't be missed.
“Archana will talk about her experiences and also the cultural differences between Australia and India and dealing with these differences in a new country and new town.”
Living Books will take place on Monday, 26 October from 4.30pm to 5.30pm at the Swan Hill Regional Library.
For more information, please contact the Swan Hill Library on 5036 2480.
