Koori Mail and National Indigenous Times now available at the Swan Hill Regional Library

Media Release

Monday, 14 September 2009

The Swan Hill Regional Library has added two new publications to its collection - National Indigenous Times and Koori Mail.

Both fortnightly publications are now available in the library and will also be distributed throughout the community via the Mobile Library service.

Manager Cultural Development and Libraries Camille Cullinan said the publications were important resources for the library.

“Having both the Indigenous Times and Koori Mail available for our community, including our local Aborigine population, is important for the Library and is an integral step in our efforts to further develop these resources for our whole community,” Ms Cullinan said.

“Being able to distribute these newspapers throughout our region, including our smaller communities is also important and through the Mobile Library service, the publications will be available throughout the community and the Robinvale Resource Centre.”

Both the Indigenous Times and Koori Mail publications cover a variety of issues in depth as well as news, sports, festivals and events and much more.

For more information regarding the publications or other resources at the Library please call 5036 2480.
