A great morning's entertainment is promised for children and families when one of Australia's premier film festivals Little Big Shots comes to Swan Hill on 16 September.
Described as “films for kids, about kids and some even by kids”, Little Big Shots is a showcase of the best filmmaking for children both nationally and internationally.
Council's Performing Arts Director Claire Glenn said the festival featured animations, documentaries, local and international short films and films produced by children.
“Having already seen some of the films, our audience won't be disappointed – the films are adorable, funny and quite touching and are certain to be wonderful entertainment for children of all ages.
“Little Big Shots is Australia's major annual and travelling film festival for under 18s and will not only inspire and generate discussion but also laughter and creativity,” Ms Glenn said.
Films to be shown during the festival include Little Dinosaurs, The Dog who was a Cat Inside, The Tiny Fish and Alien for Christmas.
“Little Big Shots is a national festival, touring to more than 20 different venues around Australia including the Sydney Opera House, Adelaide Festival Centre and the National Museum of Canberra,” Ms Glenn said.
“It's a real coup that this major film festival is also visiting Swan Hill and it would be great to see our younger community members and their families come along to the festival.”
Little Big Shots will take place at the Swan Hill Town Hall on Wednesday, 16 September at 11am; all tickets are just $5.
