Swan Hill will be treated to the return of the internationally-renowned Janet Seidel Trio, as a part of the Pioneers Week celebrations on Saturday, 14 August at the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery.
Featuring the Diana Krall-like vocals and talented piano tunes of Janet Seidel, Chuck Morgan on guitar and David Seidel on double bass, the trio will provide their audience with an enchanting evening featuring songs from the Great American Songbook.
Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery's Lorri Lambert praised the trio and said their musical performances were always popular in Swan Hill.
“It is terrific that the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery is able to host such renowned artists and it is great that this trio is once again returning to the gallery.
“Janet is world-class performer and the trio regularly tours the United Kingdom, Japan, South East Asia and Australia performing for festivals, jazz clubs and cabaret events,” Ms Lambert said.
“Janet has also been a recipient of prestigious jazz awards including the Bell Award for best jazz vocal CD, has had 14 CDs released in Australia and has also collaborated with many acclaimed artists and groups.”
In conjunction with Spoons Riverside, the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery is again offering a concert package for the evening, which includes tickets to the performance as well as a two-course dinner.
“Last year the concert package proved a great hit, so we are combining with Spoons Riverside to create another opportunity to make this into a spectacular evening,” Ms Lambert said.
Tickets to the concert itself cost $32 ($28 for Art Gallery members), while the concert package, which includes a two-course meal at Spoons Riverside will cost $70 ($65 for members).
Dinner will commence at 6 pm at Spoons Riverside, with the concert to take place at 8 pm.
Tickets are available from the Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery on 5036 2430.
