Step back in time at the Swan Hill Pioneer Settlement Museum.
The Settlement tells the story of the ingenuity, hardship and dedication of the people living in inland Australia from 1830 – 1930.
Get up close to the thousands of historic household and farming artifacts and machinery, see the blacksmith in action, cruise the Mighty Murray on the PS Pyap or take a ride in a vintage car.
You can sing along to the player piano, see Australia’s only Kaiser Stereoscopic Theatre and dress up in old-style costume.
Or you can simply wander the grounds with its 50 historic buildings, many of which are original heritage buildings relocated to the site over the past 40 years.
You can also see the settlement at night in our Sound and Light show.
Remember to check when the Museum is running one of its many special events. And make sure you talk to the Pioneer Settlement staff about their full range of event and function packages.
Open daily from 9.30am until 4pm. Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
