This service is directed towards frail, older people and people with disabilities and their carers, who are assess as being nutritionally at risk.

Food services are offered to clients on a basis of up to seven days a week.  Each client is an individual and therefore special dietary needs are also taken into account.  To qualify for Food Services an assessment is required.

Meals are delivered to those situated in Robinvale, Managatang, Lake Boga, Nyah & Swan Hill areas.

Anybody in the community can refer a person to Meals on Wheels a doctors certificate is not required

Eligibility 

To determine whether a person is eligible, a variety of questions are asked relating to individuals circumstances, including health.

Comprehensive Assessments are conducted by appropriately trained staff, which is sensitive to the needs of persons requiring assistance to determine a person's needs and eligible.

When you request assistance an appointment will be made for an Assessment Officer to visit you in your home.  They will provide information, to assist you in making a choice from the options available.  In some instances different people involved in your care may be consulted to clarify needs and/or health services.

Fees

This program is flexible in order to meet the varying financial needs and requirements of the client.

The Assessment Officer will discuss the cost with you, during the assessment.
