Animals looking for owners

Do you know where my owner is?

Council has a number of animals that have been lost or surrendered.  If your pet is lost or missing please check below to see the current animals at our pound.

To arrange a time to collect your pet please contact Council on 5036 2346 during office hours.  A pound release fee of $50 plus a sustenance fee of $7 per day apply for claimed dogs and cats.

If your pet is unregistered you may be liable for a fee of $244.  A found at large fee of $183 may also apply.

Adding a new pet to your family.

There are few experiences in life more satisfying and rewarding as saving a campanion animal's life and making him/her a valued member of the family.

Pets being the wonderful creatures that they are enhance our lives tremendously and give us much more than we provide for them.

Dogs and cats may be re-homed if they are not claimed within eight (8) working days.

All dogs and cats must successfully pass a vet check and be de-sexed, microchipped and vaccinated before they can go to a new home.

Some form of an adoption fee will apply depending on the gender and weight of the animal.

Adopted pet owners receive FREE registration until April 10 of the following year.

Council rangers are happy to provide a cost estimate for adopting your chosen pet.  You can contact a Council ranger on 5036 2346 during office hours.
