PLEASE NOTE: the position of Regional Arts Development Officer is currently vacant and it is anticipated it will be filled by March 2009.  Please check this page for further updates at that time.

Are you an artist or community group interested in undertaking an arts project?

If so, please contact Regional Arts Development Officer, Regional Arts Victoria.  This full-time position is made available through a partnership between Regional Arts Victoria and Swan Hill Rural City Council.

Through this partnership you can access:

  • Funding for art projects through the Regional Arts Fund, which RAV administers on behalf of the Federal Government;
  • Support, ideas, advice and assistance to help you source funding and plan and carry out your art project;
  • Assistance and support with establishment and development of your local cultural organisation; eg. incorporation advice, generating income, project management etc.
  • Affiliation with Regional Arts Victoria which offers insurance and other benefits;
  • Advice on funding and assistance in writing funding applications for art projects;
  • Contact details for other useful arts organisations such as Arts Law, Australian Business Arts Foundation, Victorian Writers Centre and so on.
  • Information and resources for regional festivals through FestNet - an online resource which includes a newsletter, funding and other information, see www.festnet.com.au.
