Steggall Park

Barry Steggall Park is adjacent to the new Tower Hill Urban Development.

This newly developed park provides Swan Hill with an innovative way to recycle urban storm water.   Water is collected and stored in an ornamental lake which is located in what is known as the 'Exotic Arboretum'. The lake also provides opportunities for passive recreation including walking circuits and visual amenity, whilst providing valuable habitat and irrigation water for the parklands.

Other Landscape precincts currently under construction include the Indigenous Arboretum, a collection of native trees, shrubs and grasses adapted to the unique character of the site. The design includes a series of garden rooms, including a multi purpose room, reflection room and lake view room.

Proposed future precincts include an adventure/interactive playground area, BMX track and BBQ picnic areas.  These will be constructed in stage 3 & 4 subject to community consultation.
