Swan Hill Rural City Council has received Sustainability Accord funding to develop a Sustainable Living Strategy.  Community consultation has begun and a new group has developed as a result of this.

Sustainable Living in the Mallee (SLIM) is a new and exciting community driven group. They aim to increase awareness and knowledge of living sustainably in our region.  Watch out for various information sessions and workshops, including great practical demonstrations and tours.  SLIM are also exploring opportunities for bulk buying of solar panels and lending power meters to members to audit their household appliances.  Visit this link to see the SLIM blog and set up your own google account if you have ideas for the group or want to ask questions:  www.sustainablelivinginthemallee.blogspot.com
