The Swan Hill Rural City Council provides and supports the following range of services to families with children aged from birth to 12 years:
Council aims to foster the development of children and to contribute to the health and wellbeing of families within the municipality.
Family and Children's services are accessible throughout the municipality with Maternal and Child Health services available in eight locations.
Out of Schools Hours care is provided in Swan Hill while Council maintains seven preschool buildings within the municipality. Family Day Care educators are located in and around townships giving broad coverage to families in the municipality.
