Out of School Hours Services are programs designed to provide supervised quality child care for primary school aged children in a supervised, relaxed, safe and fun environment providing positive social opportunities.
The programs cater for the children of parents who work, study or due to other commitments require out of school hours care for their children.
Our programs are Child Care Benefit approved which reduces the fees according to families income.

After School Program
The After School Program operates during school terms from 3.15 pm to 6.15 pm, from the Swan Hill Primary School, Gray Street, Swan Hill.
A bus service is available to children attending Swan Hill North Primary and St Mary’s School.
The Swan Hill After School program is accredited with the National Child Care Accreditation Council with regard to Quality Assurance and the program is staffed by qualified, experienced and caring staff.
Our food supervisor provides children with varied nutritious snacks for afternoon tea.
Supervised homework time is available for children attending the program.

Vacation Programs
Vacation programs operate in Swan Hill from the Swan Hill Primary School, and in Robinvale from the Community Centre.
Operating times are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, each term holidays (excluding the week between Christmas and New Year and other nominated Public Holidays).
Both the Swan Hill and Robinvale Vacation programs are accredited with the National Child Care Accreditation Council with regard to Quality Assurance.
Children may attend the program for full or half days on a daily or weekly basis, or on a casual basis. Half days are a block of 5 hours.
Children are required to bring their morning, afternoon tea, lunch, an art smock, and hat and sunscreen.
Curriculum/Pupil Free Days
This program is designed to cover care for children with working parents whose children would otherwise attend school on these days.
These programs operate from various venues (schools) depending on where the curriculum/pupil free day is being held. Notification of child care for pupil free days are sent out from each school participating at that particular time with all the details of the venue and times. Pick up from Gray Street School after 3.15pm.
Parents are to supply morning, afternoon tea and lunch.
What will my children do at the programs?
Children will the opportunity to participate in a variety of art and craft, sport and quiet activities that are safe and fun.
The After School Program also offers a wide range of extra activities for children to participate in and these include – tennis, golf, swimming, karate, library, dancing and lawn bowls. The days and terms that these activities run will change from term to term.
The Vacation Programs provide opportunity to take part in drama and musical productions and excursions, in addition to a wide range of art ‘n’ craft and sport activities to suit all ages.
Enrolments
Families must register their children prior to attending the programs.
Forms are available from the Council Offices In Swan Hill or Robinvale, from the program at Swan Hill Primary School, Gray Street, Swan Hill, or by telephoning the Out of School Hours Co-ordinator on 5036 2321.
Bookings for all the programs are preferred but not essential, however programs must operate within the limit approved by the Department of Family & Community Services.
