The Swan Hill Rural City Council provides and supports the following range of services to families with children aged from birth to twelve years:
- Maternal & Child Health
- Family Day Care
- Preschool Facilities
- Out of School Hours Care
- After School Hours Care
- Vacation Care
Under the goal of Sustainable Communities, Council desires to foster the development of children, and to contribute to the health and wellbeing of families within the municipality.
Family and Children’s services are accessible throughout the municipality, with Maternal and Child Health services available in 9 locations. Out of Schools Hours care is provided in Swan Hill and Robinvale, while Council maintains 7 preschools within the municipality. Family Day Care careproviders are located in and around 8 townships, giving broad coverage to families in the municipality.
