The Swan Hill Rural City Council wishes to recognise the achievements during 2009 of members of our community by the presentation of a number of awards as part of the 2010 Australia Day Celebrations:-

(a) 2009 Citizen of the Year Award

A person who has succeeded in a significant individual achievement

or a number of service activities over a significant period of years.

(b) 2009 Young Citizen Award

A person under the age of 25 years on 26 January 2009 who has attained an outstanding personal achievement, and/or provided a significant contribution to the community.

(c)  2009 Community Event of the Year Award

To a person, group of people or organisation that has succeeded in a particular achievement, service, special event, or valuable contribution within the local community during the past year.

Nominations with a suitable profile can be forwarded to the Chief Executive Officer at the Swan Hill Rural City Offices at any time, but no later than Thursday,

26 November 2009.

If you know of someone that is suitable, then lodge a nomination. Do not leave it to someone else as the most deserving person may miss out.

Nomination forms are available from Robyn Fry, Special Events Support Officer at the Rural City Offices on telephone 5036 2361 or rfry@swanhill.vic.gov.au

Dennis Hovenden
