Parents and children are invited to join Stripey the emu chick on an EGGScellent adventure at the Swan Hill Town Hall on Thursday, 25 June.
Stripey is a cracking tale, based on the best-selling Australian children’s story book and has been adapted for the stage by award-winning producer of musical theatre for kids Garry Ginivan. The story begins with emu dad Crikey trying to keep track of his 30 small emu chicks, who are running here, there and everywhere!
When Stripey goes missing, that’s when all the fun begins. Along the way, in their search for Stripey, Crikey and his emu chicks meet lots of loveable Aussie characters, including Fluster the Corella, Bluey the Kanga, Sox the Joey, Snap, Flatfoot, Strewth and Shuffle the Echidna.
Council’s Performing Arts and Venue Director Karen Doyle said this show was a must see for parents and kids.
“This performance will be jam-packed with music, dancing and lots of audience participation,” Ms Doyle said.
