NOTICE OF DISPOSAL OF COUNCIL OWNED PROPERTY
Notice is given pursuant to Section 189 of the Local Government Act 1989 (“the Act”) of the intention of the Swan Hill Rural City Council (“The Council”) to sell Council owned land by private treaty.
At a meeting on 15 October 2019, Swan Hill Rural City Council resolved to give public notice of its intention to sell the following land in a sub-divided and developed condition:
Location: Lot 1 on Title Plan 967606E, Volume 12094 Folio 848, formerly known as Ronald Street, Robinvale Road Reserve (as shown in the diagram below)
Submissions in respect of this notice will be considered in accordance with Section 223 (1) of the Local Government Act 1989. Any person wishing to make a submission in accordance with this section must do so within 28 (twenty eight) days after publication of this notice.
Persons making submissions are entitled to appear in person or to be represented by a person specified within the submission at a meeting to be heard in support of the submission. Please indicate in your submission if you want to speak to your submission.
Submissions are to be in writing and should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Swan Hill Rural City Council, 45 Splatt Street Swan Hill Victoria 3585 and must be received by 5 pm on Monday 18 November 2019. Submissions will be heard at a Special Council Meeting to be held on 26 November 2019 at 4 pm at the Robinvale Community Centre and will be considered at the Council meeting on 17 December 2019 at the Swan Hill Town Hall at 4 pm.
If no submissions to the sale of the land are received pursuant to Section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989, Council Officers are authorised to proceed to sub-divide, develop housing on the sub-divided land and then sell each Lot by Private Treaty.
