Notice is hereby given that Swan Hill Rural City Council has prepared draft documents for public consultation as required by the Local Government Act 2020.
We have prepared draft Governance Rules, draft Public Transparency policy and Council Expenses policy after consultation with Councillors and seeking feedback from Council staff. You are now invited to have your say.
Submissions can be made online at www.swanhill.vic.gov.au/yoursay, via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or in writing to the Chief Executive Officer, Swan Hill Rural City Council, PO Box 488, Swan Hill 3585. If you require a copy of the documents please contact the Governance Officer on 5036 2307.
Submitters should note that all submissions are made available to the public in full, including any personal information.
Any person making a submission is entitled to request in the submission itself, to be heard in support of the submission by appearing before the Council Meeting either personally or by a person acting on their behalf.
The documents will be available online from 29 July – 10 August. It is proposed final drafts of these policies will be presented to the August 2020 Council meeting.
If no submissions are received, Council will consider whether to amend or adopt the draft documents.
If submissions are received, Council will receive, hear and consider whether to amend or adopt the documents at the Council Meeting to be held at 2pm on Tuesday, 18 August 2020.
