With Regional Victoria now taking the third step on the roadmap to reopening, means a number of Swan Hill services will be reopening next week.
The Swan Hill Region Information Centre will reopen on Monday, 21 September, just in time for the School holidays.
Swan Hill Rural City Council Economic Development and Tourism Officer Teresa Lever said visitor attraction and accommodation services have been hit hard by the current pandemic, but many are ready and excited to be reopening.
“From Monday, 21 September the Swan Hill Region Information Centre will reopen from 9.00am for normal business hours.
“For the time being, we will have restricted hours over the weekends, opening from 10am – 2pm on Saturday and Sunday,” she said.”
Ms Lever said the Visitor Services team had already received a number of enquiries from people that are intending to stay during the school holiday period and those planning future visits.
“We are really encouraging the community to support our local tourism industry and welcome visitors to the region.
“The Visitor Services team are mindful that visitors will need support to navigate the new landscape of holidaying in a restricted capacity.
Ms Lever said that school holidays will be the perfect opportunity to welcome families and friends that have not been able to visit recently.
