Farewell and thanks to Rosanne Kava
I would like to take the opportunity to publicly and sincerely say thank you to our Acting CEO, since December last year, Rosanne Kava.
In November last year we said farewell to our former CEO, John McLinden and Rosanne stepped in to help. Replacing a CEO is never an easy feat and to have someone of Rosanne’s calibre who is local, willing and able to come in and keep the ship steady is essential.
Rosanne’s commencement coincided with me taking of my new role as Mayor, her guidance and great wealth of knowledge and leadership was nothing short of incredible. It has been an absolute privilege to be able to work with her.
I thank Rosanne from the bottom of my heart, for guiding our Council to this point.
We hope she enjoys a well-earned holiday.
Welcome to our new CEO, Scott Barber
Following an extensive recruitment process, last week we have finally welcomed our new CEO Scott Barber.
Scott is a results-driven executive with more than two decades experience developing and leading high performing teams within Local Government, utilities and services sectors.
He will bring an in-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing regional communities, with experience spanning local government, irrigated agriculture, bulk water management, infrastructure operations and financial leadership.
He’s had a whirlwind week settling into the role, but he’s hit the ground running – it’s an exciting time for our municipality!
