Swan Hill Rural City Council is set to deliver a number of outdoor activation projects in the towns of Swan Hill and Robinvale.
Council’s Director Development and Planning, Heather Green said Swan Hill’s restaurant and food precinct in Campbell Street will be revitalized, thanks to the State Governments CBD Outdoor Activation program.
“The area from LJ Hooker to the Commonwealth Bank, will be now known and branded as Eat Street,” Ms Green said.
Ms Green said Robinvale’s Perrin Street will be revitalized with “Robinvale Place of Plenty” branding.
“The outdoor activation project will include the installation of public art, bin covers, printed pole wraps, street flags, lighting, and street furniture.
“There is so many exciting elements to our outdoor activation project that we can’t wait to showcase to the community.
“We will even be installing solar fairy lights in the centre median trees from LJ Hooker right through to ANZ bank. Our green shade structures will also be lit,” she said.
Ms Green said the project was set to commence soon and is expected to be completed towards the end of October.
“Keep your eyes peeled for new additions throughout both the Robinvale and Swan Hill CBD’s in the coming weeks,” Ms Green said.
