Author Leonie Kelsall visiting libraries in Swan Hill and Robinvale

Booklovers are invited to the Swan Hill and Robinvale Libraries to hear from national bestseller Leonie Kelsall, next month.

Libraries Manager, Camille Cullinan said Leonie would discuss writing her novels, including hitting the national bestseller list within the first month of releasing her debut rural romance novel The Farm at Peppertree Crossing.

“Leonie will also talk about The Wattle Seed Inn, the second book in her ‘Settler’s Bridge’ series and her newest book, River Gum Cottage.

Ms Cullinan said Leonie’s writing has been praised for her insightful portrayal of life on the land, with her books ‘brimming with big-hearted country characters and romance.

“Leonie will chat about how she creates intricate characters, and you may also get to meet her alter ego, Laney Kaye,” Ms Cullinan said.

Ms Cullinan said Leonie grew up in rural South Australia, initially on the Fleurieu Peninsula and later on a farm on the Murray River. Her rural upbringing encouraged a love of books.

“She now divides her time between her professional counselling practice in the Adelaide Hills and her childhood farm, which provides the setting for many of her stories,” she added.

Book sales and signing will be available.
