Swan Hill Rural City Council
Applications for both Swan Hill Rural City Council’s Community Development Fund and Event Support Fund open on Monday, 1 May 2023.
Council’s Director Development and Planning, Heather Green said community groups and organisations will soon be able to apply for up to $5,000 through our grants and contributions programs.
“Council values the contributions that our community, sporting and not-for-profit groups and organisations make to our community, and this is one of the ways Council supports these contributions,” Ms Green said.
Ms Green said the Community Development Fund assists eligible community groups and organisations to undertake a variety of projects.
“Last year, many community groups received funding from the program for building updates, new equipment and many more diverse projects across our municipality,” she said.
Ms Green said the Event Support Fund recognises the benefits of events to our community and municipality, including tourism and the local economy.
“The Event Support Fund provides assistance to new and existing local events that are of social and economic benefits to our communities,” she said.
Ms Green encourages all groups and organisations to consider applying this year.
