Legends of the Mallee officially launched

Pioneer Settlement’s impressive brand-new Laser Light show, “Legends of the Mallee,” was officially launched last night.

The captivating Laser Light experience, generously funded by the Victorian Government’s Regional Tourism Investment Fund, brings to life the rich history and stories of the Mallee region.

Pioneer Settlement’s General Manager, Jessica Warburton said the team at Pioneer Settlement were overjoyed to have launched a brand-new laser light show.

“We are delighted to be providing our community and visitors with a brand-new experience, that is Legends of the Mallee.

“With the support of the State government’s Regional Tourism Investment Fund and the generous contribution from the Council, we’ve been able to create an unforgettable experience that celebrates the Mallee’s unique history.

“The combined investment of $750,000 underscores the commitment to preserving and showcasing the unique heritage of the Mallee,” Ms Warburton said.

Ms Warburton said the new show captured the spirit of the Mallee and would complement their current Heartbeat of the Murray show.

“Legends of the Mallee” is more than just a light show; it’s an immersive journey that pays tribute to the pioneering spirit, cultural heritage, and diverse landscapes that have defined the Mallee region for generations. Through state-of-the-art Laser Light technology, visitors will be transported back in time to witness pivotal moments and legendary figures who shaped the Mallee’s history.

“The show dives into its dry and dusty nature, the people who make it the place it is both past and present, its war time connections with the Catalinas and how it thrives today in a modern world – it is sure to impress,” she said.

Ms Warburton said Heartbeat of the Murray and Legends of the Mallee will run on alternative nights.
