2024 Australia Day Award Nominations Are Now Open!

The awards program brings the community together to recognise and celebrate the achievements of individuals and organisations that make an outstanding contribution to the Swan Hill municipality. There are three categories for nomination:

2023 Citizen of the Year Award

A person who has succeeded in a significant individual achievement or a number of service activities over a significant period of years.

2023 Young Citizen Award

A person under the age of 30 years on 26 January 2024 who has attained an outstanding personal achievement or provided a significant contribution to the community.

2023 Community Event of the Year Award

To a group of people or organisation that has succeeded in a particular achievement, service, special event, or valuable contribution within the local community during the past year (nominations can be included for events held 12 months prior to the closing date below).

Council is seeking nominations for persons or organisations in each category. All individual nominees must be Australian citizens and reside within the Swan Hill local government area. Selection will be made in each category on the level of personal achievement or commitment to serving the community.

Nominations close: Thursday, 30 November 2023.

Paper nomination forms are available at Council’s Swan Hill and Robinvale office’s during business hours.  Completed forms can be forwarded to the Chief Executive Officer, PO Box 488, Swan Hill or by emailing council@swanhill.vic.gov.au
