Council advertises many applications. The minimum statutory period for advertising an application is 14 days. The purpose of advertising is to notify surrounding property owners and occupiers and other interested parties of a planning proposal that my affect them. After the advertising period is completed, submissions can still be made up to the date a decision is made by Council.
Anyone who might be affected by the granting of a planning permit may submit an objection.
When you object to a Planning application, your objection must:
- State the reasons for the objection
- State how you would be affected by the granting of the permit
