Immunisations

Council provides immunisations to the community at a morning and evening session every month.

Immunisations are also given to Year 7 students at secondary schools throughout the municipality.

Vaccines available free of charge are on the National Immunisation Program Schedule.  All other vaccines must be paid for.

Immunisations available at the sessions include:

  • Diphtheria
  • Tetanus and Whooping Cough
  • Haemophilus Influenza B
  • Poliomyelitis
  • Pneumococcal
  • Rotavirus
  • Measles/Mumps/Rubella
  • Meningococcal Group C
  • Chicken Pox
  • Hepatitis A/B

Children due for 12 month and 18 month vaccinations, must be of the appropriate age when they present.
