Leave the car at home and explore the Swan Hill Region via pedal power!
Swan Hill has a number of bike paths and trails for cyclists riding to and from work or for those who are cycling for fun or fitness.
These trails are aimed to make active transport an easier option and we’re currently working to make it safer and more convenient to ride a bike instead of taking the car.
To encourage locals and visitors to get active, a local cycling guide has just been developed.
The guide lists some of the best cycling routes in and around Swan Hill, for both road and mountain bikes.
It includes routes through Lake Boga, Ultima, Nyah, Nyah West, Pental Island, Chillingollah and Lalbert, as well as Swan Hill. Rides range from the 2km Barry Steggall Park route, right up to the 100km long Al Pye Loop.
The free booklet is available from the Swan Hill Region Information Centre and local caravan parks.
Happy cycling, and remember, don’t forget your helmet!
