Work Experience and Work Placement Opportunities

Swan Hill Rural City Council offers a range of workplace learning for local students, giving them the chance to work closely with the community and experience real-life work environments. Council offers three kinds of workplace learning.

Work experience

Work experience is the short-term placement of secondary school students to provide insights into a particular industry. Students are placed with employers, usually for one week, primarily to observe and learn – not to undertake activities that require extensive training or experience.
