2024 Council election

Election period (caretaker)   Tuesday, 17 September until Saturday, 26 October
Election day  Saturday, 26 October 2024

With local government elections taking place this October, Council will enter what is known as the “caretaker period”.

From Tuesday 17 September until Saturday 26 October, you may notice some changes in the way we communicate with you. This is to ensure we comply with the Local Government Act 2020 and that the election is conducted in a fair and unbiased manner.

While we will be continuing to deliver our business as usual services, during this time we will be limiting our communications across all our channels.

We look forward to returning to our regular communications following the Council election.

You can still interact with our posts by reacting, sending direct messages, or contacting us by phone at  5036 2333 or emailing council@swanhill.vic.gov.au
