Scholarship program

Scholarship Student

Swan Hill Rural City Council is committed to supporting our community’s young people in pursuing tertiary education and future careers. Our scholarship program is designed to reduce the financial burden of study while giving students meaningful, paid work experience in local government.

The scholarship program provides:

  • $2,000 per annum (paid in two instalments per year)
  • Up to seven weeks of paid employment during semester breaks, working in areas related to the student’s field of study
  • Potential ongoing employment with Council after graduation, depending on vacancies.
