Governance and performance

Governance Rules 2023

These Governance Rules were adopted in accordance with schedule 60 of the Local Government Act 2020 and commenced on 1 September 2020.

This document is a comprehensive set of governance rules and procedures for conducting Council meetings and meetings of any delegated committee the Council may establish. It covers various topics related to meeting procedures, decision-making processes, community participation, and other aspects of Council governance.

Accessing Council information

View a list of information available to the public in accordance with Council's public transparency policy.

Freedom of information

Find out how to request access to information held by Council, associated fees and what to do if your request is rejected.

Audit and Risk Committee

The Audit and Risk Committee reviews Councils operations and finances to make sure risks are managed and controlled.

Public interest disclosures

If you have a complaint to make about improper conduct by a public official or a Victorian authority, you are protected by law.

Public registers and returns

View registers and returns relating to the operations of Council. including the gifts, donations, travel, leases and delegations.

Our performance

Council monitors its performance annually through reports like the LG Performance Reporting Framework and Community Satisfaction Survey.
