The Building Regulations require building surveyors to lodge all building permits with the relevant Council within seven days of issue.
A private building surveyor must, within 7 days after accepting an appointment under this Part, notify the relevant council in writing of the appointment and the building or building work in respect of which the private building surveyor is appointed.
The relevant building surveyor, within 7 days after issuing any building permit under this Part, must give to the relevant council a copy of that permit and any plans and other documents lodged with the application for the permit.
The relevant building surveyor, within 7 days after issuing any occupancy permit or temporary approval or amending any permit or approval under this Part, must give to the relevant council a copy of that permit or approval or amendment and any plans and other documents lodged with the application for the permit or approval or amendment.
