Art Gallery Opening - this Friday 28th!
The wait is over! Swan Hill Rural City Council and the Art Gallery of Swan Hill are thrilled to throw open the doors of the brand-new Gallery tonight at 6pm for the launch of its first exhibition, A Place to Gather. Featuring standout works from the Gallery’s own collection alongside remarkable pieces on loan, this exhibition marks a major cultural moment for our region. Join us this evening for a free community celebration as we unveil this stunning new space - Gallery Director Ian Tully, Mayor Cr Stuart King, and our whole team can’t wait to welcome you!
16 Days of Activism. A violence-free Victoria. It all starts with respect.
The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign (25 November–10 December) promotes the message that building safer communities starts with respect, and this year’s theme encourages everyone to reflect on what “Respect Is…” in their daily lives. Council was proud to support the campaign and joined community members on 25 November for the Walk Against Family Violence, demonstrating our commitment to raising awareness, preventing violence, and fostering a culture of equality and safety for all.
